Overweight and joining the gym questions

So I am joining a gym Friday but I don't have the extra $ for a trainer. I need to
Lose 45lbs by July so with joining the gym I will be counting calories and watching what I eat but I'm not sure what I need to do at the gym like how fast should I go how long each machine which machines will be the best and how long should I work out for all together? So for you mamas who use the gym if you could answer for me that would be great.

do u have a planet fitness? That's where I go, and they have personal trainers included in the $20 membership. They just show you how to use the machines and tell you what workout routine would work best based on your needs, they don't do anything else.

Before I got pregnant I went to a local gym. The PT there told me to start out slow and build myself up. He told me to try to work out at least an hour a day, mostly on cardio. I never stuck with one piece of equipment, I always changed it up. The ones I hated the most are the ones I used the most. I figured if I hated them so much they must be good for me.   I hope to go back after I have my LO. Best of Luck!

Treadmill, run run run! I like to run on the treadmill for 30-40 mins, elliptical for 20 mins, bicycle for 15

I try and use the cross trainer for at least 30 minutes, and the tread mil for 15-20.
Im big though so I burn quite a bit in that time.

My advice is just go for it, try hard... like really hard.
If you don't come home from the gym drenched in sweat..
You're not working hard enough.
