Mirena and TTC

Well My and my husband decided to TTC now instead of in june.I just got my mirena taken out on Dec 21st.i had have two periods since (1 3 days later and 1 on the 21st of this month) How long did it take you to get pregnant? have you had any problems since? I was kinda sad that it didn't happen this month.

It just depends on y'all. I know two people that have fallen pregnant while using mirena.

Had mine out Sept 26th. Found out I was pregnant right after Christmas. Just saw the little bean yesterday and everything looks good

It took us three months, which is what my doctor said to allow for. She said some get pregnant right away, but it takes the majority of people about three months, some longer.

I had mine removed December 12, 2011. Got a BFP in June '12 and had a m/c at 7 weeks. Got another BFP in Sept (8 weeks exactly after my m/c) and I'm currently 23w pg.

The doctor that took my mirena out told me that i should expect to get pregnant right away.I know that it just depends but hearing all the stories about people being infertile I got kinda scared.

Thanks mama.That gives me hope.I also had a M/C after the first time I had my mirena taken out So i got a new one put in to give my body time to heal.Did they tell you if the M/C was due to the mirena?

Technically, you could get pregnant right away. But even on the Mirena info packet and online, it says that three months is the general rule of thumb. Don't get discouraged.  

I got mine removed close to the end of June '12, had a really light period in.July I think? Got a bfp August, but it didn't stick, lost it at 5 weeks. Had a period in Sept, got another bfp October and am now 17 weeks
