no because the only person who would be allowed to look at it would be me.the risk of someone else seeing the pics is too high. I would never take pictures or videotape one of my births. no one wants to see that

I had my 2 older sisters, who I knew and trusted deeply in the room when I was in labor. They took pics the whole time, but with strict restrictions! I didn't want graphic shots of my V-jay and all that mess, but as soon as the dr brought the baby up for me to see her for the first time was all caught on camera -with no gore-ish down there shots ;) It was tasteful and gave my sisters something to do while being in the room with me. It was a very special moment and like I said, done tastefully. I didn't want a video or anything, but there's something special about capturing those first moments seeing that baby you've felt for months, not to mention first pics of dad holding and looking at his 'mini-him' lol ;)
I will say, I wouldn't want a paid stranger in there cause you never fully know what they will snap a pic of and not show you but the rest of the world.

Im having a Csetion Feb 1st, and i hired a photographer. She wont be in the operating room with us of course, but i got permission from the hospital to have her follow my husband and new baby back into the nursery and then into recovery. I wanted to be able to see him getting weighed, and his first bath, and my husbands first moments with our son which otherwise i wouldn't be able to see. i don't have any family that live in town to take pics otherwise and i wanted my husband to be able to enjoy the moment not worry about a camera.

Edit. I would also mention the photographer i hired is a dear friend of mine, whom myself and my family love dearly... so its not like its just some stranger intruding on our special day.

Actual pictures of a child being yanked from my body? Hell no.
During labor and after baby is born, sure.

A friend of mine was on Deliver Me, she's much braver than I am. For sure.

I would and have but I haven't paid anyone. With my first one of my midwives took pictures . With my third a close friend who happens to be my midwives assistant and daughter took pictures. My second ones were much less graphic then my first and were mostly of my son . I enjoy having these pictures. I'm going to see if she'll take them again for our fourth?.
