ideas on what to make for my moms gravesite?

It will be a year since my mom passed on February 2.. I would like some ideas on what i could make for her gravesite? I was thinking of buying a frame, painting it or something, and placing a picture of her in it.. i just don't know if it will be okay outside? I don't want the frame to get ruined or anything from the weather, etc..

I'm not very crafty but i'd like to make something special for her gravesite.. ideas? where to buy?

what about a grave blanket? Isn't this the time of year for them?

For my sister we got some gate that goes around her site I'll get on computer in few mins and post a pix...

It has her 1st name at the head, and last name at the foot, it reminds me of a bed...

You know I didn't even think of anything like that, that is a great idea but i don't know how to sew or anything.

No, you don't sew them. You use pine tree branches and decorate them.

does she already have a headstone we have pixs of her on hers and my grandpa and grandma have a pix of them on thiers... I'll see if i can find a pix of thiers hang on his is kinda funny  



thats what it looks like without the garland,

i cant find a better 1 of my grandfathers he has a pix in the corner of his but its black and white...
he has his motto on his headstone, idk if u can read it, says, "Moneys no object"   he was a hot mess lol

im sorry about ur momma   my dad died too when i was younger tho... if u need someone to talk to, i have more family in the cemetery than alive, hope u feel better... im always here

aw thank you so much for the comforting words. and that really is beautiful what you did with your sisters gravesite. Did y'all do that yourself?

Yeah that was for christmas time and her birth day, we put small trees up we get them usually from walmart or dollarstore, I put a pix up where u can just see the chains there's no garland on it but it didn't show up  

Basically just find out when they do the clean up, its usually once a week, and whatever u don't want thrown away u pick up day before, like we always have her gate up around Thursday, then pick up Sunday night or mon night cuz they pick up all flowers Tuesday when they mow the lawns...

We always take balloons or grave banners, those lights that charge during day and glow all night, we usually put those by her...

Sometimes we sneek in because there's a chapel by her grave we pretend like were going to a service and park at the chaple and walk up the hill to where she's at, we play music and just talk to her...
