Pros:
1. It's free.
2. Immune benefits for baby, including antibodies from Mom.
3. Breastmilk is easier to digest than formula because it is made for baby.
4. Helps Mom heal and lose baby weight faster.
5. Facilitates bonding.
6. Lower obesity rates in babies who are EBF for 6 months or more.

Cons/things that can go wrong?
1. It can be uncomfortable for the first couple weeks.
2. Moms might need certain medications that make her unable to breastfeed.

Those are the first things that popped into my head...I'm sure there's more.

Nothing bad on the baby end. lol. I guess my only "negative" would be that my son wouldn't take a bottle so it was that mental/emotional part of the commitment. But I got over that real quick.

If babies were meant to be breastfed. There is nothing in my opinion that is going to hurt a baby because of breastfeeding. It's a little uncomfortable for the mother in the beginning. But at that point you've already given birth. So in my opinion it's not a con cause you signed up to be a mom an you have birth to them. Breastfeeding them shouldn't be that big a deal. I'd be more concerned with formula contamination than the "dangers" of breastfeeding.

lots and lots of pros!

Cons: Sometmes you feel like your body is not your own anymore, it can be difficult to get out of the house in the early months if you feel uncomfortable bfing public because baby wants to nurse frequently. When they get older sometimes they ask for he breast at awkward times. People (even close friends and relatives) are often unsupportive. I hardly see one of my good friends anymore because she doesn't agree with bfing, especially bfing an older baby.

I guess I can understand someone choosing not to breastfeed...but to not agree with breastfeeding entirely? That makes no sense to me.

I love that your title says beastfeeding, lol. That's totally how I feel sometimes. I guess that would be a con of breastfeeding a toddler. But really there's way more positives than negatives.

Pros:
Bonding
So freakin easy
Free
Easy to digest
The poo of breastfed babies doesn't smell as bad
Give baby's immune system a boost
Your boobs look great

Cons:
Ummmm....sometime people give are weird about it and sometimes baby tries to latch on to daddy/auntie/uncle/grandma/grandpa/anyone you let hold baby which I don't think is a con I find it funny as hell.

Most of my Pros have been covered. I like that it's cheap and can soothe a baby quickly.. all the while giving them what they need nutritionally.

Cons: mastitis, thrush, other people feel left out of feedings, stay at home more if baby doesn't or won't take a bottle, none of my kids would take bottles, baby wakes more at night, gets hungry faster, takes more time away from other children.
