So upset at the pediatrician

I am so pissed at my son's pediatrician. I took him there for the first time a week ago because of his persistent croup, she ordered a throat culture and turns out he came up with strep throat. I find that he got an double ear infection, croup, asthma, and strep throat all within 2 weeks. He gets croup every couple of months and she dared to tell that it isn't croup, it's asthma because after the age of 3 kids don't get croup and it is really considered asthma. That's such BS!! I left there so pissed, I have no desire of taking him back there.

She could've at least done the blood test to see if there was a reason why he gets so many infections. He seriously gets at least 5 infections in a year. She even dared to say that she can only treat him only when there are symptoms. I wasn't asking her to treat him, I was asking here to at least refer me to an ENT like his pedi in NY did. I'm so frustrated right now. I have to change his insurance so he can be seeing at a good clinic that I know.

Do you ladies think I blown this out of proportion? To me, she sounds like she has no idea what she is talking about.

Nope, not blowing out of proportion. She's either incompetent or just doesn't care. So sorry your son is so sick all the time!  

take him to a different pedi and see if they can run a test to see if he has an immune deficiency. That is the only thing I could think of that would cause him to be prone to illnesses that often.
