I pay 10 bucks a visit & 5 bucks a prescription...pretty nice except for days like today when I have no money on me & I need to see my doctor lol.

There have ALWAYS been the freebie people, who skip out on their bill. Always. We have ALWAYS paid for those people. insurance premiums have skyrocketed in the last 4 or 5 years, with the biggest increases coming after Oblahblahcare passed.

What do you not get about MY premium increasing over 250% in 4 years time?

I read a lot of post on here though that they don't get the same attention from their dr as we do here and it could take years to get a visit. I like being able to call for DD and get her in right away if needed and not need to bring her to the ER.

Also, that is why the ER here is always soo smurfing busy. People who actually need to be seen by the ER doctors have to wait forever because there is a ton of people using the ER like their doctors office.

Yes and in Canada, I believe, you only get a pediatrician if your child has major health problems. I love having a pediatrician for my son. Also being able to call whenever I want. I don't mind paying for that.

It's heading that way, believe me. I wouldn't be able to afford another increase. I am tapped out at $711 a month...for just me. If it increases again, I will drop coverage and be forced to take the government's plan. I won't have a choice. There would be riots in the streets if the government just simply shut down every insurance company. So, instead, the government is forcing them to HAVE to cover everyone, which leads to drastically higher premium increases, which leads to people dropping their insurance coverage, altogether, which leads to even higher premiums to make up for the people they are losing...until no one can afford it and the insurance company goes under. The government can make it so expensive that is causes bankruptcies.

That makes sense but I think it's going to take awhile for that to happen. Unfortunately those on premiums like you are going to suffer before then. State healthcare sounds like a great thing but it definitely will have its problems, like another poster said about Canada. I'm on Medicaid now and it's dreadful[although I'm grateful for it because my kids and I would be screwed without it] and I can only see it get worse and worse when everyone is on it.
