Paternity will be the factor - advice on testing?

posted 23rd Jan
Hi, i posted yesterday about my current situation. Facing abortion tomorrow i have been over everything relentlessly in my mind. I have come to the conclusion that the possibility of keeping the baby depends on paternity. One father is adamant about not helping, which would make it impossible to raise my other three kids as i need to. One is totally on board. With his emotional and financial help, i think i could do it. The only issue is that i will already be 12 weeks tomorrow. I called planned parenthood to see if the had any resources for prenatal paternity testing and the only place they knew of takes 3-4 weeks, which is too long. Does anyone know of any other option? I think this is the only way i can morally make the right decision.

make the decision based on what you want, not who SAYS they would help.

This is good advice - People say a lot of things but when it comes time to pay up or help out, someitmes they kick rocks pretty fast.

I agree. I would make the decision for you and your kids, and only you guys.
Do both potential fathers know you are thinking of abortion? What do they say?

She has said in another thread that adoption is not an option.

After digging around that website I found this prenatal-specified page:
http://www.dnacenter.com/paternity/prenatal-testing.html

I don't know how much you want to spend, though, OP. It's a $995 down payment, then 4 additional payments of $195; but, it's non-invasive, and you get results in 5 days.

I'm pretty sure all paternity testing takes 3-4 weeks if not longer for results. You'd have to have that amnio test done tho for baby's dna i think.....which could cause a miscarriage. If I were you, it sounds like you have your hands full already, I would just go thru w the abortion.
