Heartburn Help!!!

Does anyone have severe heartburn with the pregnancy? I take a pepcid twice a day and still eat tums all day and sometimes have to take mylanta to have any comfort. Anything you can suggest I can ask my doctor about? I have an appt today.

I had the worst heartburn with my second. The only thing that helped was a glass of water with a pinch of baking soda.

A change in your diet could help decreasing your heartburn.

I had to get a script of nexium

I tried to stop eating things that gave me heartburn. chocolate, grapes, spicy, you know the usual. but unfortunately sometimes even water gave me acid reflex.

I've been trying to eat smaller meals. All I have had today is a beagal with light cream cheese and a banana for breakfast. Then I ate a nutragrain bar about an hour ago. Water to drink that's it. I don't understand why some days are so bad it feels like I'm having a heart attack like today and others not bad.

Im 10 weeks and at 8 weeks I had horrible heartburn for like 6 days staright tums deff didnt help at all. What I found to be helpful was avoiding the things that caused the heartburn and not laying down directly after eating. Also walking for like 10 mins after dinner feels like it helps things het moving in the digestive area lol. Hope u find something that works

I have heartburn really bad the only thing that helps is taking zantac a.k.a acid reducer and drink it down with a glass of milk. If it is still bad i take another one after 30 minutes. and it always gets rid of it.

I'm going to ask my doctor about switching to that instead of the pepcid.

Nexium isn't good for baby whoever took that. The only thing that helped me was zantac.

My doctor perscribed me reglan and it has really helped

I've got it pretty bad. I've tried just about everything listed, and the ONLY thing that seems to cool my heartburn is Wendy's Frostys.

I was taking that before pregnancy and was immediately taken off of it when I got a positive result. My doctors preference I guess.
