Potty training question!

Ok, I realize that I'm the mother of 4 but I can admit that I'm NO expert on potty training! Not to mention, I didn't have this issue with my other kids so I'm not sure how to handle this.

Anyway, my youngest daughter turned 2 in November. She's totally into the potty and is actually almost fully potty trained with the exception of naps and over night. The problem that I'm having is that she wants to be naked almost all the time. No panties, no pull ups....NOTHING. That is fine, I don't mind her being naked at all. The problem arises when she has to poop. She recognizes when she has to go and she'll say she has to go to the potty so I'll take her, and nothing. Then she'll decide she's done and go on about her business only to have a poop accident on the floor, usually within 5-10 minutes. Now, I know this is very normal and when she does start to have an accident, she'll often take herself to the potty and finish on there (complete with poop streaks all the way up the potty, lol). It GREATLY upsets her when she has an accident and it makes me feel so bad. She is doing EXCEPTIONALLY well with potty training, better than any of my other kids did! In fact, her 4 year old brother isn't potty trained at all so I know my expectations are not too high. I'm trying to figure out how to get her to at least wear her panties so when she does have a poop accident, it will at least be contained   I know her ability to get herself to the potty on time will work itself out eventually so I'm not even worried about that. I'm just trying to figure out how I can keep myself from having to sanitize my floors one to three times per day!

Have you ever had this issue? What did you do? Were you ever able to find a way to get your kid to keep some kind of garment on their lower half?

kyle did something similar. he'd sit and sit trying to poop. nothing would come so he'd get up and then go 5 min later. i started watching his expressions. when he felt it coming, i'd pick him up and sit him on the toilet. you can also set a timer. if she doesnt go, set it for 5 minutes, then have her try again.

I took Morgan to Walmart and let her pick out the panties she liked the best and really really played up the panties like they were a huge deal and a huge priviledge and it took her about a week but it worked

that's a good idea.......repproaching in a couple of minutes. I have done that but sometimes she's resistant.

I suppose I'll offer the potty 5 minutes or so later EVERY time and hope that she'll catch on sooner or later, lol

yeah I was thinking she might like some Dora panties! She's got princess and hello kitty but she ADORES Dora so maybe getting some Dora panties will encourage her to actually WEAR them

when she does wear panties, tell her "dont pee/poop on Dora, she wont like that" that worked with Kyle's Thomas undies lol
