The more you get up and walk, the quicker your recovery will be.

My DS was in the NICU so I was walking to the NICU and back 8 hours after my c section. I was off of pain medication within 4 days and wasn't in pain at all in less than a week.

I was pretty well prepared for it. The nurses told me everything that would happen, and what to expect. My best advice is to get up and walking as soon as you can, but don't hunch over when you walk. It makes the pain worse. I had my c section for the same reason, and it ended up being a good choice. DS's head was lodged in my pelvic bone. They ended up still having to use the vacuum to get him out still. Good luck! Hope all goes smoothly!

I've not had csections but the epidural made me incredibly itchy :/ it was horrible.

I will be having my first c-section as well, I am nervous b/c every epid I have had only part of me was numb so I could pretty much feel everything, so I'm afraid it's not going to work with the c/s. This will be my last baby so i'm getting my tubes tied but I don't want to be put under!
