Nursing and bc

I had my period right before Christmas. So now I should be having my period. I haven't started so I thought I was prego. Nope two test and both negative. Okay so now questions are. I'm nursing so that a delay. I need to get on bc before I do get prego. Can my doctor put me on bc without a period? I don't want to have another baby a year apart. I want to wait on my 2nd child. Me and my dh are using condoms but they break. We bought about every effing kind. We cannot go a day without sex lol. So what is my options? With bc.

Nursing can delay your period, and I would think the Dr could do a blood test to determine if you are definitely pregnant or not, and then put you on BC.

This. And if your exclusively nursing the minipill could be a good option for you.

Yes. I started the mini pill at 8 weeks pp with my dd and I didn't get my first pp period until 13 months. Your period can be really unpredictable when you are nursing and they would rather have you be protected.
