hmm....let's see...did I once mention arranged marriage? Nope!

no shit shirlock her point was even those girls managed to have and raise those children, with or without help. uggh, i give up the original purpose of this topic has been lost...

I wonder if we don't consider it an okay thing these days b/c we know more about the body? As in back in the day they tended to just use breast development and periods as proof of adulthood...but now we consider "real life" experiences and "maturity" to be more defining of adulthood? IDK... interesting topic to think of though!

Do you really think a lot of those girls raised their babies? A lot of them died during childbirth...so they never got to raise their kids. And of course they had help back then...what else would classify a wet-nurse as? Again... "it takes a village to raise a child" was how they lived back then.

I dont see why they said 18 your considered an adult. I know so many people that are pretty much adults before they are 18 except for their age.. then i know the exact opposite where they are considered an adult but dont act like one at all..

Yeah...I've always found it strange that at 18 you're old enough to vote and die for your country but you can't drink until you're 21...

me too.. i was like hell if you can vote and die for your country you should be able to have a nice cool beer too. lol Just like i dont get it.. when your 16 in some states you can get your liscence but you cant smoke, drink, or anything else like that. Strange. They give them the responsibilty to drive which you could kill someone but not the responsibility to choose to smoke or drink.

To the OP.... good luck with everything. Try not to let frustration get the best of you. It's ok to lay her down and walk away for a little while.

To catluvr... I am glad to have found someone on herewho doesn't think my "crazy ideas" of reading, and being informed on things are so far fetched!! Sometimes I feel like scholars are a dying breed.

To everyone else... you are entitled to your own opinions, most of which aren't all that different from mine. you are entitled to share those opinions in what ever way you feel necessary.... but ask yourself this... is it necessary to pick a fight to get your point across? You all got so ridiculously defensive at the mere mention of age rather than talking it out and figuring out what she meant. I know that here have been crazy women on here who do pick on teen moms just because they can, and I agree that it's wrong, but that is not what was done here. Chill out!

Have a nice afternoon ladies. I am off to the park with my little ones now that they are waking from nap!

It helps but babysitting is not parenting..
