cio at 10 whole months is perfectly acceptable by majority of pediatricians... usually anything after 6 months... and i dont believe age age has anything to do with it. A 40 year old woman faced with the challenges of being a first time mom would have her moments where she needs a break also...

Quoting just call me mama:“ just because she is 17 has nothing to do with it theres no reason you need to bepointing out her age. We all get frustrated at times....”

Like I said...it's a cliche about teen moms. And I said it may not apply to her at all. There's no need to target me dear.

And I would say that based on stats and research about adolescent minds and brain chemistry that yes, teen moms sometimes cannot handle the same stress level of child rearing as older moms.

Agreed...but yelling at your 10 month old as a solution doesn't seem apt for a 40 yr old.

A cliche is not proven fact.. Don't attack her on her age. She is 17 and did the right thing..

I seriously don't see how saying things are harder when you're younger translates into "you're not a good mom" - wtf??!!

Thats so funny. Because no matter what when your a new mom you do get frustrated no matter what age. I think is so much bs when people try to break down teen mothers. Hey atleast she is trying and not making her parents take care of her kid and etc. I have so much respect for teen moms like you.

You just didn't need to bring her age into it. Every new parent gets frustrated at some point. It isn't just her.

you'd be suprised... my husband is 26 and has his moments where he's EXTREMELY frustrated and will raise his voice at Aidan. In every other respect he is a mature, responsible adult... but frustration happens. And I've seen plenty of older moms acting VERY innapropriately toward their small children. Even that nanny video of a grown woman SPANKING a baby...

my daughter is 7 monthsand i let her cry it out, when shes all done, i go back and she starts smiling , she doesnt do it often, she only does it because her god mommy loves to hold her in her hands, so she thinks i will do it.

Thats exactly what im talking about. People watch teen mothers more because the expect them to fail because they are young and susposely "imature". Ha! They can keep on watchin me because im going to be the best mom i can be for my kid.

I agree. And I'm glad someone on here doesn't think I'm attacking the OP!

So what is this "book" that you speak of? Sounds like a fascinating invention! haha...

The whole book thing.. i think kinda stupid. You dont learn how to parent from books.. it comes from instinct. like they had books about that back in the old days.. i dont think so and their kids came out fine.
