If your emotional problems are really that bad, and you are that unstable by your own admission, how is bringing a child into the world going to help YOU? Being a parent takes a huge toll, emotionally, physically, mentally(it's not all sunshine and roses let me tell you). If you have an emotional void, a child won't fix it, you will only feel it to an even greater degree.

Dude I dropped out of high school because I couldn't understand or pass math to save my life - I ended up going to college and have a career - I don't make up excuses to let my learning issues hold me back, this girl is just smurfing pathetic.

You're right, it's not great to do that to a child because if a parent is unstable and only used that child to fill a void and it didn't work, that child could end up being resented, neglected, abused, or worse. I have two unstable and incredibly selfish parents, and I could have turned out just like that, but I didn't. I was raised by my dad's parents who gave me a stable environment where I was loved and treated well. I have no memories from before my parents' divorce, but I have heard about the possibility that my sister and I were neglected, and my sister was possibly abused. There are many other issues I've had to deal with along the way, severe depression, anxiety, days when I don't want to leave my house because of the possibility of having to deal with people. But I get up every day and do what I have to do to give my kids the best life possible, and will continue to do that.

Hard to answer? It often is. For me, I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I was encouraged to go to college, get a degree, yada yada. It just never felt right for me. I felt like I was called for something more. I could have done it to fill the emotional void my parents left that, while my grandparents were GREAT, they couldn't fill. But, if I had, I would resent each one of my kids. I am not the world's best mom, I'm human, but I do my best.

But if you can't work, how would you support a child of your own? SSI won't cover all the expenses that having a baby incurs. Diapers, wipes, clothes, the furniture, formula and bottles if you don't breastfeed. It all adds up, and it adds up fast.

Like I've said a million times on here. My g-pa is leaving me some money when he dies, and no, I don't want him to die, as you idiots claim. I am hoping I can use it. I'm not going to swear to it. He's leaving me $50,000 in a will.

Do you know that it can take a while for a will to be put through probate, you won't get it right away, and that's only IF the will is not contested, or if someone doesn't file a petition and claim that you need a conservator for the money due to your mental health issues, especially since you claim to only have the mental capacity of a 12 year old. And if that happens, a judge will more than likely grant the petition. Honestly, what would you do then if you had to go to someone else every time you needed money? Plus, in this economy, $50,000 doesn't last very long if you have no or very little other income.
