I need some advice about what to do

I'm 19 and currently living between homes. I just found out I'm 4 weeks pregnant with my ex (split up for 2 years - drunken night out). The only person I've told is my best friend. My mum is in the process of moving house and living in a 2 bedroom flat with my 8 year old sister. I don't see my dad, and at the moment I'm living in my grandparents spare room. I've just got a new job but have no money currently. Does anyone have any advice about what I should do, whether I could cope, thank you!!

Do you not believe your family will help you? Even if your grandparents will let you stay throughout your pregnancy while you save up some money to get on your feet. If you feel you have a good relationship with your mother or grandparents I would talk to them about the situation.

It is totally up to you what you should do based on what would be best for you, and baby. Could you get your life together and give it a life it deserves? Do you even want to? Your body, your choice. You might want to have the pregnancy confirmed by a health professional, if you haven't already. I don't know if they have something equivalent to Planned Parenthood on the UK.

I'm going to my GP tomorrow to confirm and look at my options. I want this baby so much but I'm worried about my financial issues...

Tell your family and see if they are supportive. You are still very early in the pregnancy. If no one is willing to help, you have lots and lots of time to be working and get your own place. With just you and the baby you could easily make it with a 1 bedroom apartment. Or of course there's always adoption. Whatever you do, don't let others influence any decision you make. If you do, you will regret not taking charge of your own life and making your own decision. Whether it be keeping it, adoption, or the "other" thing I'm not gonna name because I 100% disagree with it, don't let anybody talk you out of what YOU feel is best.

I was broke when I found out I was pregnant. My family has been a God send.

Thank you. They really have come thru and helped me so much. My sons father hasn't been around since he was 2 m-o and never contributed financially , so invert fortunate to have a family to pick up the slack while I get my life together. I can't imagine not having my little boy. (He's ripping open a bag of apples as I type this ;))
