gender reveal party ?

Did anyone have one? What kind of decorations, food and games did you have planned? This is our 3rd and most likely our last baby so I won't be having a baby shower and thought this would be fun instead.

I didnt have one but I looked up some ideas before I decided not to have one.

The cutest thing I saw was a cake that had either pink or blue cake inside and gender neutral icing/decor. That way you can cut it open and the inside of the cake would reveal the gender. You can take it one step farther and hide a plastic baby in it like they do with the Mardi Gras cake. The person who finds the baby (and doesnt choke on it) is a winner of a prize.

Just posted this in another thread...here are pics from our Reveal Party: http://www.kissiemonster.com/2011/05/reveal-party-day-3.html We did Purple & Green for decorations instead of the traditional Pink & Blue. There is a really cute What will baby BEE theme that is yellow & black. We had 2 cards, everyone had to sign their name on either the Boy or Girl card...it also worked as a guest book, unfortunately so many people came at all different times that not everyone voted. Other than that, no games. As for food, we served lots of dips & chips, bruschetta, fruit & meat/cheese trays, finger foods [chicken strips, little sausages...etc] and of course cake & cupcakes!

Haha yeah that was my thread, instead of just asking the questions in that one I decided to make another one :p
