re: Old man names

my brother's name is rodney. never realized it was an "old man" name lol
i have a friend that is 27 named rupert and it suits him lol
one of my friends just had a baby boy a few months ago and named him oliver. i like a few of those names, actually.

a lot of those are on my name list! lol
i don't want something silly or out there for a boy, i want it to be strong and handsome. you mostly have to go to "older" names to get that.

They sound nice togther and semi match bc they have an x but not overly matchy matchy.

I know someone who has kids named Felix and Greyson. They're super adorable and well behaved.

Oh, and my SO didn't want to use Jean for our daughter's middle name because he says it reminds him of an old fat man.

I have always loved the name Everett. We named the boys after my husband(his name is Bradley Everett) my father(Timothy William) and my FIL(Edgar Ellsworth). I also have 3 middle names(Amanda Lynn Sarah Pauline) and this baby girl will too.

If I have a boy his name is going to be Wesley Dean after my great grandfather and SOs grandfather.

I am Cassandra Pauline...lol I hate both names, like really ahte them.

My two younger kids have 3 names, well my middle has 2 first names and a middle, and my youngest has 2 middle names. My oldest just has 2, she feels left out sometimes over it. lol

I am not a big fan of pauline but my grandmas first name is thelma so I will just deal with the pauline. I get a lot of guff for the 3 middles names. Most of the time I only have to use my first middle name Lynn unless its something to do with really important stuff. Also I could always tell when I was really in trouble when my parents would use all 3 of them. lol

I completely agree - they hit that note between serious, grown up and handsome and uncommon.

No I probably wouldn't use those. I would use a different form. I like Theodore but I would use the Greek form Theodoros or even the Russian Feodor. I like Walter but I like Valter better.

Mortimer is cool though. Mortimer the mouse was the original Mickey Mouse.
