Throwing up daily?

Anybody know what might cause a 4 year old to throw up every morning for a week and a half. The Dr. just told us it might be the flu but he throws up every morning between 4-6am and is fine all day long with absolutly no other symptoms. He does complain his stomach hurts and kind of mopes around all day but I don't think it could be a bug becuase of the way it is going. Any ideas of what else it might be or should we just wait it out a bit longer and see if it is just a bug that is hiting him weird?

Acid reflux....get him checked out.

That was the symptom of my nephew for 1 month before the dr's figured out what the cause was. What does he eat before bedtime? Make a change in it and see what happens

He had severe acid reflux when he was a baby and everyone dismissed it until he would stop breathing and turn blue :-(

He does not have snacks before bed and just eats his dinner when we get home which is around 6-7pm. He is a very picky eater if and when we get him to eat it is mostly fruits, veggies, and bread. He does not eat junk food or anything like that either. No soda except for lately we have been giving him ginger ale to try and help settle his stomach.

Even still, somethings like fruit or veggies can cause it, but how long from his last meal to going to bed....I ask cause with me personaly, if I dont eat before bed my acid reflux flares up and makes me sick, cause the acid runs up my throat making me throw up in the morning.

Stuff like bananas are hard on the stomach and should not be eaten close to bedtime, tomatoes and oranges etc.....

His bedtime is at between 8 and 8:30. He does not eat bannans at the end of the day only in the morning but last night he did eat an orange with dinner.

I would try to give a little snack before bed, maybe a small bowl of cheerios or somthing that is not hard on the stomach but filling, and see what happens in the morning, it may be due to an empty stomach in the morning.

NP...let me know how it works out. I am just trying to figure out if it maybe a reflux thing. But I would definately go back to the Dr and get them to check. Oh what does the puke look like? Is it saliva or food in it or is it more like a bile puke, like orange in color or a yellowish at all?

haha yeah well he has a history of the reflux like I said before and ewww there is usually food in it and it is orange almost every time.

I know a little boy personally who done this.. Around the same time too. It was acid reflux. Once they have him something for it he was fine! Good luck hope LO gets well soon!

Thank you!! We did give him some toast before bed last night and he got up and still said he didn't feel good but he did not actually get sick. So we are going to try that for a bit and then go from there.
