How would you pronounce this

Rallye.

It's always made me wonder. A friend of from high school named his first son this (kid is 3 going on 4), with an little brother Ryden - which I at least know how to pronounce, but Rallye always leaves me stumped and I worry that if I ever meet the little tyke that I'll pronounce it wrong.

Like the word rally is how I'd say it

I'd just ask the parents because that just looks like someone tacked an e onto the end of rally. If its not pronounced as the word rally is then its probably Ray-lee, Ruh-lie or Ral-lie

That's how I prounounced it too. I like it though.

I think I would say Ray-Lee, but it really isn't spelt that way, hmm..

I'd just call him "man" and "hey dude"  

Like a football rally. That's how I'd say it.

LOL, I hate those awkward situations - one time I hadmoved into this place and the neighbors daughter was named Rhiannon (which I love) but for some reason I kept hearing it as "rhianna" and I kept calling her that and noone corrected me for like 2 months. >_<

I would just ask, honestly. If they get mad thats their own fault for choosing a confusing spelling / name.

That's what I've done before in the past too, with a Tamsin who I kept calling Tasmin.

I know if I pronounced it wrong my friend would find it funny and wouldn't correct me on the pronunciation, his missus might on the other hand - but she can be very rude.

That was my initial thought too, thank you to both yourself and everyone else who replied.

The 'e' on the end throws me off, if that's why they were going for then why add the 'e'?
