Moving to toddler bed..

posted 23rd Jan
My twins are two next month and I'm considering moving them to toddler beds.. They sleep all night perfectly in sleeping bags, but I do feel that it would be good for them to be in big boy beds..
My questions are:
1. What age did you move your kids to toddler beds?
2. Anything that helped with the transition?
3. Did you leave toys or anything in their room or pack everything up?
Thanks heaps I'm so nervous bout this milestone for some reason and hubby and I can't agree on when we should do it!!

I moved my daughter at 15m because she could climb out.

Her crib converted so it was easy for her to adjust, the main thing that helped was closing the door, I found that with the door open she was tempted to come out. With the door closed she would grab a toy and jump back into bed until she fell asleep for a couple weeks, then that got old and she just went to sleep straightaway

My first was 3 lol he had a massive cot though, then a little toddler bed then at 4 ish a proper bed.
My youngest was 14 months, straight to a bed.
Nothing really else, there is no reason to transition them until you and they're ready, especially if they're still in bags. I'd think a bed with bags may be dangerous.my eldest was in sleeping bags until really 3.

My kids moved with no issues at all. There toys have always only been in their rooms. We never had an issue with that.

Oh they both moved on their first bday. Lol to double beds not toddler beds.

Lo will be 1 next month, but not walking yet so untilled she starts walking I wont move her.

We moved my daughter into a daybed last month (26 months) it was rough the first couple days because she wanted to get out and play during her nap time. Now she does great with it! I just had to keep going back in there and putting her back in the bed at naptime. Night time was never an issue for her, she never tried to get out of it. The only "toys" we have in my daughters room is stuffed animals. It's always been that way though. From the start I wanted her to know her room is a place to sleep and not play.
