post partum pain...

If you had stitches because you ripped during childbirth how long did they hurt post partum? And the other body pains. I don't feel like I should still be hurting as much as I am. Its a significant difference from the pain in the hospital because my bed is so much more comfortable than a hospital bed (seriously they need to rethink that) but I'm so used to bouncing back easily.

I was 100% healed by 2 1/2 weeks. I was going for walks along the sea wall the day I was discharged(2 days after delivering) and was walking around the L&D the day after he was born.

I had a 3rd degree episiotomy and I was sore for weeks. They started healing around 3 or 4 weeks and then I ripped the scar tissue open again. I had to wait 8 weeks instead of 6 to have sex and it was still painful at that point. My scar tissue actually is still tender and it's been 21 months. It only hurts now if DH tries to put it in funny, though  

With my daughter I was cut and was able to move around at 2 weeks. I still felt my cut when I'd move and it was uncomfortable, but I wasn't in pain. With my son, it took nearly 3 weeks before the pain stopped, and I can still feel my stitches at 7 weeks. I tore with him.

The doctor tore my labia when she pulled my baby out. I'm only 2 days pp but they said the discomfort would go away quickly. They said my stitches could take 2-6 weeks to fully heal and not hurt. Its just the body pains. I didn't think all my muscles would still hurt this much after.

I don't remember my muscles hurting but I stayed in an almost euphoric state for several days. I almost felt high. I don't remember a lot about the first 2 weeks PP

Its all the muscles I used to push her out that hurt. Legs, arms, my butt, my neck even. I've been taking motrin and it helps but I'd rather just feel no pain. I'm still in awe, I probably always be because I'm just so happy she's finally here and healthy. And in my eyes she's simply perfection. I'd just like to bounce back so I can be there for her 110%

I have stiches too.. Put salt in with your bath it helps alot! Mines.stopped stinging as much as they did &im on day 4 there still uncomfortable but not as painful as before also try so pain killers aswell of your not breast feeding.. Hope your.okay cause i feel your.pain cx

I'm allowed to take motrin while breast feeding. I've been taking more showers than baths because I like the pressure. Its just about 3am here so I'm on day 3 technically. I just want my body pain to go away. I'm sick of feeling so stiff

Yeahh i know what you mean.. It took me about half an hour to get up &sit down but it will get better.. Mine was killing yesterday but the salt in the bath did help me alot so worth a try &then you could have a shower after x

I shook him till he woke up and passed her to me. She was so hungry poor girl.

I had a c-section so i'm of no use to you! But I thought the beds in my hospital were well comfy! lol. wish I could have taken one home, was so much easier to sleep in than mine at home. lol.!   Hope you feel better soon, Congrats on the baby!   xx
