I am curious as to which one you get more for the money.

I think in the end the powdered is cheaper but doesnt taste the same IMO. I buy it to use for cooking/baking or in case we run out of regular milk

You can also mix it half & half with regular milk too if you wanted

Probably powdered milk, not only would it be somewhat cheaper, you'd probably drink less of it because it tastes like a foot  .

I grew up on that stuff, my parents literally never bought real milk once in my childhood so I kind of have a bad taste in my mouth (literally and figuratively speaking) from it. But you gotta do what you gotta do.

Christopher won't drink milk without strawberry syrup in it so I figure all the better, it'll probably cancel out the bad taste that powdered milk has LOL

DD (6) doesnt mind drinking the powdered but me and the older 2 dont care for it. When we are tight on money i mix it with the regular and the kids have never noticed. The grocery store by my house is almost $4 a gallon so unless i want to drive 30 miles to walmart im screwed

My FIL said he grew up on powdered milk too. He now won't drink it...he'll only drink Whole Milk fresh from the Farmers Market Lol.

I wouldn't stress the taste too much, LO probably wont notice much of a difference if he/she doesn't drink regular mil often. I didn't know what milk tasted like until my first sleepover when I was 11. Before that the taste didn't bother me. The other poster had a good point, it's definitely more cost effective to use in baking.

Yep, our milk is $3.26 s gallon unless I catch it on sale. I remember about 3 years ago, it cost $1.97.

My mom used to buy chocolate syrup from Costco, the huge jug of it. That was what kept us drinking it as teenagers haha. Flavoring is definitely helpful, and you can always mix it 50/50 and maybe freeze the other half gallon?

seriously, our little single serve 12oz milks are usually 1.50

That sucks. At the local grocery store its like 4.50, but if I go to smurf its .98 and the eggs there are .39. I just went shopping yesterday, and they had a 10lb bag of potatoes for .98 too! I love our smurf.
