Quoting caseyandayla:" like when the baby is in your tummy after how many months does it start to develop poop in its intestines? or does it not develop any until after it's born?"Around like 19 weeks.
Quoting caseyandayla:" when does the babies poop start to develop?"
Quoting mommymassey:" babies begin to develop a bowel in-utero, its called meconium. They pass it sometime shortly before ... [snip!] ... at most. It will also depend on whether you are bottle or breast- feeding that will determine the consistency of the poop"
Quoting Jennybananna:" Around like 19 weeks. "
Quoting Jennybananna:" If the baby passes meconium before labor you are looking at possible major complications. The pass the meconium after birth and it usually can last for a few days. "
Quoting mommymassey:" I knew if they ingested it it during birth it could be bad but what do they do if it happens? my kids always passed it after so I didnt worry but I am just curious in case it happens with this one"If they pass meconium in utero and breathe it in it can get into their lungs. Its called Meconium aspiration. Usually they are fine but it can be deadly. A lot of them end up in the NICU for a few days/weeks and are on oxygen to help it clear out and such. I have a friend whos baby was just born and she had it.

Quoting mommymassey:" oh thats kind of scary sounding. Thank you for sharing. I will have to leave it at that or I will obsess and worry myself for the next 3 1/2 months. lol Thank you again"Well dont google it that will just scare you more. Im sure your baby will be fine and so will your baby. You can ask your doctor what the chances are of it happening.
