Still sick

Peyton was diagnosed with an ear and upper respiratory infection last Monday nad given Amoxicillin. Tonight I notice he's still pulling at his ear, has a fever,and is still coughing with a runny nose. He has a dr appt on Monday coming up so I will be making sure his doctor checks him out. He was acting fine for the past few days but now is acting really sick again, is it possible he's still sick or could he have gotten it again?
