It took 3.5 months for me to get the results of my echo cardiogram. And they came back abnormal. I'm annoyed it took so long.

They told me the results of the stress test right after i finished it and the tech who did my echo said everything looked fine but i had to wait for the office to call with the official results

What exactly is the stress test? What do they look for?? I haven't googled because it'll just make me anxious. I was supposed to have all this testing done last year but I put it off because the doctor was a jerk, he's since retired.

I'd be pissed if it took that long to get my results back! I hope you're doing well now.

If you don't mind me asking, what type of heart issues do you have?

Last year my primary care doctor thought I had SVT. I was on a 30 day event monitor but the events werent sever enough to do anything about it. As far as I know I have no official diagnosis.

They hook you up to a oxygen reader & a portable ekg and do a reading while you lay down (resting). Then they will have you walk/run on a treadmill (mine was 7 minutes) so they can see how your heart does. I also had to have blood drawn. The echo is pretty much the same thing as a pregnancy ultrasound

DF got the results of his in a couple hours, but he was also in the hospital when his was done. His echo was fine but they opted to do an angiogram as well where they found a 95% blockage of his LAD artery because it had basically collapsed inward.

I have cardiomyopathy, I was told that it happens 1 out of 2000 pregnancies, lucky me. I ended up in the ICU when DS was a week old because i couldnt breath and my oxygen was at 72   My heart was only pumping at 15% instead of 65% so i had fluid built up in it. Its being treated as congestive heart failure and at my last appt my heart was up to 45% so im hoping that its normal now. I have to take 7 pills a day, 3 of them are for my heart

How did they treat it

Hmm. I wonder if we'll get the results the same day. Ill be at my local hospital the echo is at 8:10am and the stress test is at 10 something.

How is R doing now? How's the pregnancy going?

Oh wow   I'm sorry you're going through all that. I'm assuming you're on a beta blocker? If so what one? Last year the cardiologist wanted to put me on one but I didn't have a diagnosis and my primary care doctor was concerned it'd make me depressed. Apparently that's a beta blocker side effect.

Im on corag (beta blocker) twice a day, digoxin, lisinopril, lasix, potassium, & a multi vitamin. The good thing is that its treatable and should go away
