Was your heart crushed because you feared you'd be unable to conceive or because you felt like the doctor was discriminating against you or being unfair?

Edit: Sorry, forgot to ask. Are you the author of this quote OP?

No, I was not the author of this quote. I found it on pinterest.

I became pregnant with my first quite by... surprise. lol. The pregnancy did things to my already compromised thyroid function and other systems that are affecting my current ability to conceive. However, I do understand what it is like to be told that being fat is why I cannot conceive and have had it held against me. I have also had friends and family tell me that all I have to do is lose weight and I'll get pregnant. I've even thought about losing weight just to get pregnant. I thought that maybe there were a few mamas out there that may identify with this quote. I, myself, have a very nurturing physician who has never told me that my weight was the sole reason that I could not have more children.

Honestly though that's what I did... 2 years went buy and I did not get pregnant. I ate healthy and exercised... Lost 30 pounds and got pregnant the very next month... I think it has a lot to do with being over weight.

I think it has more to do with eating healthy and exercising.

Well whatever it was worked for me and the eating healthy exercising that led to loosing weight and in the end holding my baby was totally worth it.

I agree. Babies are awesome!   If one eats healthy whole foods, gets active, and learns to listen to their body they will gravitate towards a healthier weight for their body. There is a 20 lbs leeway that the body has to work with, initially, around their set point weight. 30 lbs is not much beyond that.
