does it make sense?

So, i've heard that most people have/had the same dream. they dream they're falling. i've never had this dream, EVER. i was thinking about it and how it seems weird to me. well, i was putting DD to bed and when i moved she jumped like she thought i was dropping her. when i was a baby, i was never rocked to sleep. if i was tired, you had to just put me in my bed and leave me alone. could it be something developed in babyhood?

I was always just laid down and never rocked and I dream I am falling a lot, lol. I am always waking myself up flailing.

I have that all the time. I don't think I was rocked to sleep. I don't rock my kids and they've never jumped like that.

Everyone I know has that tiny jerk movement as they fall asleep. sometimes it wakes me up, occasionally its because it gives me a sense of falling and it startles me awake.

I heard it was a leftover trait from when our ancestors used to sleep in trees. Idk how true that is, though.

that's crazy. i might've heard that before
