re: Who was there with you when you had your baby?

During labor DH, my mom, my dad, MIL, my older sister and her husband. When I was pushing I only had DH my sister and MIL. This time DH, my mom and dad and more than likely MIL will be in the room while i'm pushing, that's if I get to go full term. Keeping my fingers crossed I do.

I had a c-section so just DH.

With DD, just a friend because the sperm donor never showed and I lived 5000 miles away from my family.
With this one, it'll just be DH.

For my first it was my husband (boyfriend at the time), my mom, and my dad. Along with a all the hospital staff; ob, nicu team, three nurses, and a student nurse. With my second, just my husband along with considerably less hospital staff; my doctor, a nurse and a resident.

First was at the hospital.. My OB, the nurses (like 4), my husband and best friend (to video tape/take photos)

Second will be at home.. my midwife, husband, son and MIL

First time my SO and his Aunt (she drove me to hospital lol). Second time just SO

my husband, my brother, my sister in law and my 2 daughters, lol..

It was just my husband and my midwife...I knew I didn't want any extra people there even before birth but after going through it I was even more glad I didn't have any extra people there...I didn't even want people around after birth when i was recovering...I had a lot of tearing and needed a lot of assistance from my husband. It is just not a great to feel like you have to cater to anyone else and it is a very intimate, transparent experience in my opinion

Plus my doctor and the multiple nurses  

With my first I had two midwives , a student midwife and one new midwife plus my dh, with my second I just has my dh , my midwife and her aprintace . With my third it was just my midwife , my dh and my midwives assistant . I don't like people around me during labor and delivery so no one else is even allowed to come near my birth center or they will have he'll to pay.

My DH was there for my DS. It will probably be the same for this LO.

I'm hoping to have my husband, mother and my sister if she's open to it. My mother has been there for my first two, only my husband for my last. But since we're planning a home birth and I'd like my children to be able to be there if they wish, I guess my mother and sister would be there as kiddo support.

Just DH was with me during the birth of our daughter. That's the plan for our son as well.
