So freaking frustrating!

posted 22nd Jan
Wow.... Do you have day every so often where you wish someone would just get hit by a bus? Yeah... one of those days. The person in question? The baby's dad... My ultrasound is tomorrow. He's known of this date since November! He started school last week and one of his classes is at 4:30pm. My appointment is at 3pm. Mind you, he finally decided to call me a week after hearing nothing from him to complain about his homework for 2 minutes and that was pretty much it. I sent him a text this morning reminding him that the appointment was at 3pm, an hour long, and this office is always running late! He texted back saying he couldn't go then. Which I was fine with... I really didn't want to listen to him bitch, whine, and complain about everything and God forbid he dare pick on the baby again. I asked my wonderful supportive sister in law to accompany me. She was so excited and asked her boss to get out of work early just so she could come! Well, twat waffle texted about a half hour ago saying he could now come but would have to leave early. I told him "don't worry about it... Addy is coming with me". Well, now this flaming swamp donkey is all pissed off at me because I found someone else to come with me. He said, "Really... why even tell me?" I responded with "Because I knew you had class and that was important to you. You said you wouldn't be able to make it so I talked to Addy a few hours ago and asked if she would come". He then says,"Last time we went it was like 45 minutes total time not an hour!" ... basically implying I was lying to him. *deep sigh* me: "yes this one is longer because the baby is more developed and they're looking for more. Remember they also went almost a half hour past my appointment time".... and I have yet to receive a response. Basically, he's pissed at me because he said he couldn't go, I made other arrangements, and am now refusing to accommodate him. I have accommodated and bent in all directions to please him and keep him happy the past year and I'm done doing that. He says he cares and wants to be there... yet like I said, didn't bother calling or texting to see how I have been doing, knowing full well I've been have a lot of trouble with my blood pressure dropping. If I passed out, fell, and hit my head... no one would find me for days.

Can't they both go? I had 2 people in at all of my scans for my daughter.

Dang, I had trouble taking the time to read that. Your avi was fascinating me. I mean, that is really entertaining!

You're being completely reasonable. If he said he could not make it, then it's fine to make other plans. Sounds like he is being a total douche to me.

However, with that being said, could both of them go? I mean, bring your sister in law along for the support, but then tell him that he can come as well. That way he has no excuse to be a dick about the whole thing, and it will actually come down to whether or not he wants to be there.

He most likely wouldn't go with her there anyway because that means he has to be on his best behavior. He went to the last ultrasound and when the baby moved, it looked like it hit itself in the face and he had the nerve to say, "It's already stupid!"

If you're going to MMC MFM ,then he would more than likely miss class but so what? This is one of those moments where its fine imo
Im glad you found someone to go with you and hopefully he can put aside the whiney ,bitch-assedness to go with you and be a part of that moment.

If he wants to go then I would let him, if he shows up then good, if not then its his loss, I think that as long as their willing to put effort in then the dad should be at anything that involves the baby. I always had both my husband and mom at everything I did including the birth with both my kids, just tell him he can come, but have him drive himself and you drive with your SIL

He sounds selfish and immature. Don't fret. At least you don't have to put up with his constant whining during one of the best parts of your pregnancy.
