bd doesn't help financially at all

My bd offered to pay for our son's school. Which is $400/month. He doesn't pay for anything else. I buy all food, clothes, shoes, etc for our son since birth. We are both living with our parents. So neither one of us pays rent, utilities. He should have money to help out since bills, expenses are reduced.. When I ask him for money he starts arguments with me and talks smurf about me being a bad mother. I can't put him on CS because I make money than him and he has other children. WWYD?? how can I tell him he needs to help pay for school without threatening CS? I'm tired of being verbally abused everytime I express a concern about my son.

My husband makes more money than his ex and we have two children. He's still on CS. I don't see what that has to do with anything. Go file.

I dont understand why he cant be put on CS, It doesnt matter how much you make. he can still be put on CS if you want him to. but you may not get as much as you want. It just depends on how much he makes and it doesnt matter that he has other kids (This is as long as YOU have custody)

Child support has nothing to do with the mothers income.

Am I able to out him on child support if we share a link card/medical card? He wasnt working for a while so I was the only one supporting us (me, him, baby,his kids) but now we don't live together but I desperately need the link card especially because I get no help from him for school .if they take that away I'm really screwed.

i dont have an answer because i dont know what a link/medical card is.. i think you should call your local child support enforcement office and talk to someone about it.

Why would they take your link card? I mean they could take the child support from you if you are recieving cash assistance but if you are just getting food stamps they won't take the child support. He shouldn't even be on your link card if you aren't living together. I would go down to the DHS office & let them know you are no longer living together.

Once they know you are no longer living together you will probably qualify for more food stamps as well since his income is no longer included.

im going through the same thing with my ex. hes always telling me that he needs this and he needs that but what about our childrens needs. i am starting the whole child support process now and it doesnt matter if you make more money than his other kids mom you still need to file for child support
