How come it was free? Was it some type of lottery?
Here... there's an open lottery for 15 free slots for Pre-K, from 8:30am-3:00pm. There are 30 slots so some do pay for their kids to go.

i think it was 5 days a week. its a private preschool, like literally just preschool no other grades which would have been nice

My daughter's isn't a private place, but it's pretty much like that. Just 3 & 4 year olds. She's the smallest and youngest though.

Well, it's only a "school" during the school year but the summer program is same hours, (just no.part time) for the same price.

Do you live down south? Just curious because this school that you mention sounds so much like the schools where my sister lives.

No I live about 40 miles from Chicago

It's free through the school district. My son needed speech therapy so he got in. My daughter was screened and scored to high to need schooling (apparently to them).

Right, I understand. It stinks that she didn't make the cut. But it's always a good thing that she scored high!

BTW, the preschool just emailed me back! They do take non-vaxed kids, are accepting new students in the fall and he said we could come do a tour and put down the deposit!!

It sucks she gets penalized though. She cried everyday beginning of the school year because she wants to go to school like her big brother. He's in kindergarten. She isn't going to go on field trips,, have school pics, get a yearbook, have little holiday parties, or make cute things. It makes me sad..

That's great news!!
The school my daughter goes to allows non-vaxed kids to attend, thank goodness.
