Would it work?

Would it work to use a make up brush with watercolor paints? DS has one of those cheap kid sets and it comes with a small brush but I'm aftaid it might be too narrow for him to use easily (he's 21 m/o), plus I'm wanting him to paint a picture for my mom and I think it will look better with "fatter" strokes, know what I mean? It's a blush brush, so not as big and soft as a powder brush, but do you ladies still think it will be too fluffy and soak up all the paint?

why don't you try a sponge or something.
The brush would probably work, but I'm all about using the right brushes for the right things and that would just bother me...

I am sure it will work. You can also use q-tips, but I guess that won't really make fat lines. I do think they work really well though.

Thank you! That will be much easier and more fun for him. I'll just cut a piece off an unused sponge.
