Baby blues

How long did it last for you?

I'm 5 days PP and I've cried every day for the last 3 days. I'm feeing so overwhelmed. I love him so much, but I feel like I can't handle it all. Everything feels so different. This can't be the start of PPD, can it?
I miss being pregnant. I miss my boy. I miss my old life. I keep feeding on the negative. Oh and he's not latching so most of my crying stars after I pump.
Please help me.. Am I alone?
I know it's a big change, so I'm guessing its normal.

I cried every day for weeks. Sometimes I would cry for no reason at all. It wasn't PPD. It takes some time for your hormones to balance out. It's really too early to diagnose PPD right now, but if the crying persists for weeks and weeks and/or you start having intrusive thoughts, call your doctor right away.

Thanks so much. I have no intrusive thoughts at all. More like I can't handle this all and it's all too much. I'm lonely too. My family is so far away. And SO Works 16 hours a day. But I'm glad to see its absolutely normal. I just hate feeling this way. Thanks so much!!!

Is this your first baby? Motherhood can be overwhelming at first. Eventually you'll learn your baby and your baby will learn you and things will seem more natural. Best wishes!

Yup! He's my first! That's what I figure. Well figure it all out, but right now it's just difficult. I appreciate all your help! Thanks again. I'm so worried I won't give him attention he needs.

My daughter is 8 weeks today. I cried the first few days. my husband is not here at the monent due to the military. he hasnt met her yet. Im at my parents until he returns and they told me to wake them at night to help with her but i dnt feel right doing that. So im all alone at night and she wakes up a few times a night. The first few days she would scream a lot and wouldn't sit still. Then I called her pedi and they said i need to start giving her formula after i breast feed bc i may not be producing enough so thats why she would always cry bc she was hungry. Shes doing a lot better with giving her formula bc she gets full. I was kinda sad about that. I wanted to fully breast feed. But babys gotta eat. At least she a happy baby. She is my first also.
