two periods in a month

Okay so I had my time from the 6th to the 10th or 11th well two days ago i started spotting and I got it again.. Less than two weeks apart .. could it be because I didnt take my birth control this month??? I had kept forgetting to get it so decided to just take it next month and i got my period AGAIN
