Heart Beat:)

Im due Aug 17th. I have had my ultrasound about 8 and a half weeks. The heart beat was 143, just wondering what y'all might suggest on the sex of the baby, if y'all have found out what your having, what was your babies heart beat?

I'm having a girl and her heartbeat has literally been all over the place between 125 and 171.

Heartbeat and the gender of the baby have nothing to do with each other.

This baby's heartbeat is usually 148-150 and she's a girl.

At about 12 weeks my little boys heartbeat was 163.. at 17 weeks (when we found out the sex) it was 140. My midwife said most all babies have a fast heartbeat in the early stages of pregnancy.

All of my pregnancies the baby's HB around 8 wks has been 165-180. Right now at 30 wks my daughter's HB is around 130, 140. Sometimes gets up to 160. Sex and HB have no relation what so ever.

The `Wives tale` suggest that if the heartbeat is over 140 it`s likely a girl.
It`s probably not true but it`s fun to guess!
All the wives tales were correct for me  

Thanks everyone. Its always fun to guess. My daughters heart beat was always 140-160. But the ultrasound tech told me she was a BOY until I was almost 9 months pregnant!
