When to go in?

So DS picked up something at his dads. He just had a low fever sunday night and yesterday it would come and go. Last night it got up to 102 so I gave him some of the childrens fever reducer and that knocked it out until it wore off. During the day its not as high 99-101. His nose is runny and his throat looks a little red but thats about it other than him feeling crummy but he's worse than yesterday.
He hasn't been sick in over a year so I feel like a newb. Don't know whether to take him in and sit in the nasty waiting room or just try and fight it out.

As long as the medicine reduces the fever he's fine. Not worth taking him in they'll just tell you to give him tylenol.

That's kinda what I figured, I just hate seeing him miserable. Guess time to get some more lysol and bomb the house though because I can not get sick right now.

I would have him tested for the flu.

Its not like they could really do anything for it at this point. Plus if it is its a really mild case he's still eating and up and active...just at about half his normal energy level.
