2 year old and medicine

Can 2 year olds have anti nausea medicine? Like over the counter meds? Audrianna just started puking and it just keeps going and going and going like non stop.   I'd only give them to her if she keeps this up for a while.  

Honestly, if there's that much vomiting going on, I doubt they'd stay down long enough to have an effect. I know it's horrible but let her get whatever it is out of her system and then once she's gone an hour without bringing anything up, have her sip some electrolyte replacement and rest  

I would say no. There is a reason why her body feels the needs to vomit. It is the body's way of getting rid of bacteria and viruses. Same with when people have diarrhea and take immodium. There is a reason your body needs to expel quickly.

Yea   I just hate seeing her this miserable. Then after she pukes she starts coughing her lungs up.   She went from all perky when she woke up to super droopy and just not talking or doing much.

I hate seeing kids sick too. It's so heartbreaking  

Cylus took a week to get over this crud so hopefully hers isn't as long? now just to find somebody to watch her so I can go to the store.

They have dissolvable pepto for kids ages 2+..its the only thing that helped my 3yo when he had a virus recently. He held down fluids and food a little longer.

I'll probably end up calling the pedi if she doesn't keep things down for a little bit by noon today.  

Remember.. BRAT diet..clear fluids. They told me to wait 2 hours from vomiting to give anything else to eat or drink to give time for their little tummy to recover. Make sure she is peeing enough too.

I'd take her in if she was puking that bad. Or call the nurses line and see what they say.

There s no point in taking her in.   They won't do anything for her. The doctor doesn't even want them coming in the office so they don't contract flu.

yeap I have her on just clear fluids though   Poor bug just doesn't feel good!
