re: Eyeliner

I like my liner brush (3.00 or so at walmart) and a good eyeshadow, I have used gel, too and it's nice, too.

Yea. I really like it. I'm wondering how often I need to buy a new brush for it though, the gel lasts forever, but I don't want to use the same brush for too long.

You shouldn't need to as long you're cleaning it after each use.

Maybe I am weird, but I shampoo my brushes with brush shampoo (it's a bare minerals product) and it really cleans the gunk out of my brushes. They probably have other brands of brush shampoo, mine just came with my face kit.

Really? Thr NYC is that good, or just the hard candy? I have NYC nail polish and it's smurf, so I assumed all of their cosmetics are smurf

It depends upon the specific product with them, I have noticed - I don't care for the liners on myself, but I use their gel liner and I like it and I have a lipstick from them that is a good color and actually has a nice moisture content. I think it also has a lot to do with the individual person's skin, too.

Its a toss up with NYC. They have hidden gems but most of it is smurf. Same goes for Hard Candy (IMO).

No, I clean it. I just thought you still had to replace it at some point. I'm kind of new to this stuff.

Nah. Unless the bristles get all messed up and there's no reshaping it, you can keep your brushes. Just clean them often and well. I've only had to replace one brush and that's because my kids bent the bristles out of shape and I couldn't reshape them at all.

That works - the only time you really have to replace brushes is if the bristles get funky or start shedding.

I have a thing for buying brushes, too (not THAT often, though LOL) Iam always convinced that something else will work better.
