Verizon plan question

I've been on my mom's plan and I really wanna get off it and get a new phone. I'd maybe go on my boyfriend's plan. My sister told me yesterday she went on her boyfriend's plan and she didn't have to pay the early termination fee. How does that work? My contract isn't up til December. And it says my mom's contract is up on February 8th, so what happens when her contract is up?

That means when her contract is up her phone is eligible for an upgrade or can be removed from the plan.

I don't get how my sister got off the plan with my mom and I without paying. her plan wasn't up til December either...

Have your mom call them?

I just did this, they told me I could just sign a form that basically moved the responsibility of payment into my name, but you'd still technically be under the same contract.

we're you able to get a different phone? so you'd still have the same number and everything then. I'd go on my boyfriend's plan probably so he would sign the paper or would I? I suppose I could go talk to the guy here about it..

Oh, but I might mention if you do use the change of liability form you can't get a new phone till your contract is up, still. Which is why I didn't do that. haha.

All I had to do was call CS and have my dad(plan owner) call a number they gave him to "give permission." I didn't have to pay any fees, could change my plan, and keep my phone amd number. Still under the same contract though, so I still had the same end date and everything.
