creative activities for children

1. cook a small pot of spaghetti, drain it and add in a couple of teaspoons of oil, divide it into 5 bowls and add a small amount of liquid food colouring to each one and stirred it through, tip the spaghetti into a large tub and you can if you chose add the magnetic letters from the fridge, you can also add plastic bugs which ever takes your fancy.

They children will have a great time digging through with forks, picking out letters and looking for "treasures."

The extra bonus with this is that it is edible! Great for babies and young children who insist on tasting everything still.





2 .In wintry temperatures, fill balloons with water and food colouring (i added glitter to mine). When the water has frozen, remove the balloon and you have giant marbles!

Does the food coloring rub off onto their little fingers when they are digging through it? Or is is rather set on the noodles?

i think it does rub on there hands but it is easy washable

This one is simple but I love it: get all of your dried up markers, and some coffee filters. Get some water and dip the dried up markers in the water. Use as water colors on the the coffee filters. My 12 and 6 year old LOVE that one
