After cesarean swelling?!!!

Hello ladies! I had my daughter 4 nights ago via C-section. this is my first night home. I have terrible swelling in my calves, ankles and feet. Since being home, I have rested a lot, my boyfriend's mother propped my feet up in a recliner, took a nap, my boyfriend propped me up in bed and woke up to let him sleep so I took our daughter out of our room and a holding her in her room and my feet hurt so bad! how long does it take to heal, and is it ok if I am on them to take care of my baby?

My doctor gave me some water pills and it cleared up in less than a week

I just came home earlier today my dr said it was normal to swell. he didn't say anything about stockings. but I have been walking when take my pain killers. I just walked around with the baby a little to put her to sleep.

I was given the stockings they put on you when you're confined to bed in hospital and told to wear them for 6 weeks. I think I made it to 5  


You sound like you're probably fine but if it gets worse, I would call your OB just in case  

Just stay a little active like you're doing because it makes the healing process easier. I found that I was trying to make excuses to stand or sit on a seat because getting up from a reclined position was horrible
