drug test newborn

For my first daughter I admited i smoked pot after giving birth so they tested my babies poop which came positve for thc. I had to deal with CPS. I later found out if I didn't admit to smoking during the pregnancy my baby wouldn't have been tested.
I am now pregnant again and was wondering if i go to the same hospital if they will autimatically test the baby since I had my first baby tested and it came out positive for thc or if i went to a hospital in a different county if they would know my history with the other hospital?
And does anyone know if they do those types of tests if you have an at home pregnancy?

Everythings computerized now so they will probably be able to look up your history. If your worried just dont smoke

No matter where you go, they will be able to look up your history. I wouldn't smoke knowing your kid will most likely be tested

Sigh..my hormones are getting bad yall...I was almost judgmental just now :/hun I really wouldn't smoke anything while pregnant, but yes they probably will

They will more than likely test you do to your history, my sister got her baby taken away the second she gave birth to her third do to her hisotry of not being able to care for the first two. So if they see a hisotry that you smoked pot they will probably test so don't smoke.

Here they test you for marijuana and all drugs through your whole pregnancy. You fail you get CPS. All hospitals in the area have your history. This should be a no brainer for you, Don't smoke.

Why would you even smoke while pregnant.

If CPS tested you in the past your flagged, don't do it.

I'm not sure.... But isn't it legal in Colorado now? I had a really old ob once tell me he wished he could just give me prescription for medical marijuana because of morning sickness. But if you think they might drug test baby I wouldn't risk it.

Its legal if your over 21 but you cant buy it without a license. When my cousin was pregnant her doc said it was fine to smoke because she had really bad morning sickness and no appetite

I was wondering how that was working there. I had no way to obtain it at the time in my pregnancy and probably couldn't have done it without getting sick either. I felt like the prescriptions they have me just made me tired and the morning sickness worse.

I don't think even the pro smoking mama's would agree that its ok to smoke if your child is at risk of being taken away that is just amazing that it is even a question to me.
