Texting someone you're interested in.

Okay, so last Friday the guy my friend is dating brought one of his friends to hang out with all of us.
His friend and I kind of hit it off.
He kissed me and all that, we hung out last night and he kissed me goodbye and such. He's really nice to me and says cute things, all of that good stuff. So I know he's interested in me also.

I'm just so....dumb when it comes to these things  

I can flirt my ass off with him in person, and just can't bring myself to do it through texts.  

My friend and I were talking about it, and she tells me that if I text him first one day, I need to wait for him to text me first the next day.
Well, there have been a couple of days where I've texted him first two consecutive days.

Does that make it seem like I'm coming off as "desperate?"
I like this dude. He seems to dig me also. I'd like to not look desperate and mess it up before it even has a chance to go somewhere.
So I just need some help so I don't look like a desperate loser

Isn't it weird that you wound up kissing a guy the first day you met him, when you met him through another guy you were talking to?

Wait... I'm still trying to get past you kissing te guy you're dating's friend. And then wanting it to go further. Hmmm.. Am I missing something?! Are u still dating his friend?

And what? I wasn't talking to the dude. He's my friend's boyfriend, the guy I'm interested in is his friend.

I don't think it makes you seem desperate. If he wasn't interested I don't think he would respond much.

I think 2 days in a row is fine. But idk if I'd txt first more consecutively than that. And if e doesn't answer don't keep texting. Otherwise you're prolly good. Good luck I hope it goes somewhere  

I don't think it matters who texts who first, as long as you don't bombard him with like, 500 messages a day. Which is what I tend to do haha.

I was so confused though, because I saw the edited OP, and I was like, why is everyone jumping her ass when it says her friend is seeing the guy?! lol
