Pissed

So I'm sleeping at a friend's house, and I brought LO because my friend has a son too. And Charlie would absolutely not sleep tonight, like he wanted to hang out and play so we let him. Then he watched some wiggles, and I was going to put him to bed after the wiggles. I went out to smoke a cigg and he came out looking for me. Instead of holding LO until I came back, my friend put him in a crib. He sleeps in the bed with me. Has his whole life. He hates cribs. He was crying and crying. When I came back in I was like "What the smurf, you made him really upset", and my friend responded "You need to let him cry it out, or he will turn into an smurf when he gets older. He will never accomplish anything, and he will live with you forever. When you let babies to that they will sleep with you until they are 15." I am fuming, so pissed off. I can't believe he did that!! He is my child you have no right.

How dare your friend with a child put the child in a bed made for children, and then elaborate on his parenting style. How dare he.

id be mad about what he said.. saying LO will turn into a smurf. yeah thats not cool..

putting him in the crib.. ehh i wouldnt be mad maybe he didnt know you co slept.

What he said was a little over the top though.

Why'd you leave him inside? People are going to have dif opinions on raising kids so if you left him inside with her, she's gonna do what she knows/does with her kids.

Definitely be pissed for your friend saying that but I mean she was probably just helping by doing what she would do and giving you a break.

My friends and I do it all the time. We don't parent the same but its all good in the end.

Next time don't leave your friend Responsible for your kids at their house then get pissy with them because they have their own Opinion

how long were you out there? if it was just a few mins I don't see the huge deal. How old is your child?

Be happy he put him in the crib and not on the bed where he can fall.

Hey that is my child, he had no right! Fine tell me your opinion of the situation, but don't you DARE do something to deliberately make my child upset. I will smurfing rip you a new smurf. He KNEW Charlie and I co-sleep. And I TOLD him that Charlie has been having some serious emotional issues recently because his father has been a huge jerk. He knew those things, and I told him that is LO came out to just come and get me and I would take care of it. No he did something I told him would upset Charlie, and that I did not want him to do, did it anyway and lectured me about it.

Op your profile says your lo is 15 months old. I think he will be fine. Just calm down your friend was just trying to help. I get told all the time that because I let my 4 year old sleep with me she will be messed up but I brush it off cause its their opinion.

He's just about a year and a half, and I was out there ten minutes. But my son was alone in the room. He didn't even stay in there with him. That is really scary for a child his age.
