I'm laboring at home for a while. But it's already been an hour and a half since my water broke and my contractions are getting stronger. I never had contractions come on quite so fast after my water broke before (with both my other kids). I think this will go pretty fast.

Thanks everyone! I guess we will be heading to the hospital soon. It's bittersweet knowing this is the last time I'll be doing this.

Lol. Don't be jealous though.   I don't feel like I'm ready even though my other two came earlier than this one and I thought I'd go earlier than this.

That's how I was feeling. Everyone was starting to feel sorry for me at work and at the doctor's office. Since my others came earlier than this, everyone kept asking if I felt like I was overdue. Lol.

Hahaha my mom keeps saying I'm gonna go "any time now" because I'm just soooo big apparently lol. I am considerably larger than I was with my first, but I still don't think I'll go early, especially not THIS early. I wouldn't want to go this early (although I wouldn't mind sleeping for two weeks and going then   ). My doctor wanted to check my cervix last week and I told him no but I think he's gonna want to check it at my appointment tomorrow because he likes to check at least once. If I'm dilated it's just going to get my hopes up that I'll go early, though and I know I won't haha.

Did you go early with you other baby? My first daughter was born at 36w6d and my son was born at 35w4d. My CNM didn't check my cervix until Monday morning. I was 2cm and 50% effaced but my cervix was still firm. She wanted me to start inserting evening primrose oil capsules at night to start softening, but I didn't get the chance! The funny thing was I told people that I didn't want to go all the way to 40 weeks but 38 would be good. Since my water broke at 38w1d I think I will count myself lucky.

Anyway, I didn't have a chance to update anything while I was in the hospital but Sara Faith was born at 5:47am weighing 7lb4oz and 20 1/4 inches long. I labored at home from 10pm to about 12:30am and got to my room and was checked at 1:20am. I was at 6 then and by a little before 2:00am I was at 8. I was pushing by 2:15 with no epidural since I was going so fast. However after almost 2 hours of pushing in every position they had the on-call doctor come in. She decided that Sara was looking sideways. They gave me an epidural and let me rest and try to let some of the swelling go down. About an hour later they came in and let me push about 20 minutes and then gave me the option of trying the vacuum before going to a C-section. She said they could try unless the vacuum popped off 3 times. After that it would be considered a failed attempt and they would do the section. It popped off the first time but worked either the next time or the one after. Can't remember. Anyway, she finally arrived and I have a lot of stitches but she is worth it. Her bruising from the vacuum is pretty much gone.

Congratulations!! At my hospital if you go much over 2 hours pushing they automatically just do the c-section. I delivered my first after an hour and a half of pushing so I'm hoping this one is no longer than that.

I didn't go early with my first. I went to 40w3d and was induced, had him after a 25 hour labor at 40w4d. I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow and I have no doubt I will make it to the end of next month. But I do feel like he's bigger than my first baby. DS1 was reeeeeally low. This one is high and I can still feel a ridiculous amount of pressure on my cervix and in my butt lol. I've been bigger than I was at 40w with DS1 since I was 32w with this one. I'm hoping to goo right around 39 weeks this time but I don't see it happening lol. I sure am ready, though.
