Annoyed due date issues

So at my first drs Appointment I was told my due date is feb 18th then the dr got fired or quit who knows so I got a new dr who asked me when my last period was and I didn't remember so he told me to guess so the date I gave him made my due date feb 22nd but when I got my 1st ultra sound the lady said I was due feb 12th but Idk if my doctor is going off that I'm honestly not sure what due date He's going off I brand it up my last appointment but ofcourse the computers where down... I'm already 2cm and 50percent effaced so I'm going with the sooner due date I'm gonna be really upset if he's going with the later due date what do you all think

why would it matter if he's going by the later date? My doctor went by a date that was a week after the u/s date and it didn't really affect anything. Due dates can be off by a couple of weeks anyway.


ETA: I did go into labor the night of the u/s date and had her the next day, if that matters. But that isn't always the case.

He is probably going off the later due date, better to have a late baby then one that is too early.

I'd be pretty happy they were going off the later date. It gives you longer to go into labor naturally before they start pushin to induce you.

I think you're over thinking it. Dilation and thining doesn't mean you're really close to going into labor anyway. You won't be able to prevent going into labor and really at this point, you're chances of complications isn't very high. relax.

I just don't wont the later date because my sons birthday is In march so I want there birthdays as far apart as possible and I was hoping to have baby like feb 1st but two weeks is a big difference maybe I'm over thinking it but I'm just over being pregnant my apt is wed so I guess ill just ask him then which due date he uses

I'd rather just have my baby born on or after their due date so that their chances of being healthy were higher over my children's bdays being close. I know it will cost more and take a lot of planning at once, but that would be the least of my worries while pregnant. You can ask your doctor which date he's going by, but just because he is going by a certain date doesn't mean your LO is GOING to come on that day anyway.

I wouldn't mind if I had her on the due date if the 12th I'm just so over being pregnant I guess ill see on wensday and I was already really excited that I only have 3weeks left but he's gong by the 22nd ill have like 5more weeks if not more

your due date is your due date and your baby will come when it wants to.

I wanted to wait another month or two before getting pregnant due to birthdays. My daughter's is March 5th and this baby is due May 17th. IMO a bit too close, but what can you do?

you don't want to go 42 weeks, trust me! I went 10 days over due and was induced. I had the shakes on and off for a week. My daughter had no vernix left and her skin was raw and peeling. She had breathing problems and had to be in the NICU for 48 hours because she couldn't stabilize her temp and breathing. it really isn't worth the risk.

My due date is my due date but when I was given 3difrent dates idont know which one is right and that isn't bad my sons birthday is march 17th and If I'm due the 22nd of feb there bday will only be weeks apart

Well my issue is that I really think my due date is wrong and I DO NOT want to be induced again. I went to 40w3d with DS1 and was induced, had him 25 hours later at 40w4d. It was terrible and I don't want to do it again. But I don't know if I'm actually 36w or 35w right now. We had sex on the 19th of May, then AF came on the 22nd of May, then we tried again to conceive on the 2nd of June and I got a very faint positive on the 13th of June, so I think my original due date of the 25th was closer to accurate, but with them moving it up 8 days I'm afraid I'll have to be induced again and I really don't want to. I will if I need to, obviously, but I would hate to be induced at 41 weeks if I'm really only 40 weeks, you know?

EDIT: Also, sorry about your experience   That sounds terrible. I'm the first person in my family to ever go past my due date.

More then likely they go off ur first u/s so the date u got off ur first U/S is the date they more then likely go by..but baby will come when baby wants..I have a birthday in December as well as January and in March and my due date is March I'm high risk and know I won't go till March..so ya it going to be hard haven birthdays close together u kinda have to deal with it..I make it work even tho I stress out alot when these months come around..just relax there is not much u can really do
