Icy Hot for pain....

I got the whooping cough vaccine, kind of got roped into that one by the L&D nurse lol... it wasn't so bad after it was done, but the last two days my arm has been in pain... I want to know if I can put icy hot cream on my arm?! Will it even work on the pain? It's swollen.... so I wasn't sure.

I don't think icy hot would work on that anyways. You can take regular tylenol when pregnant. When I get shots I massage it & it will make it feel better, or you could put a hot/cold pack on it

Won't do any good. It works by stimulating the nerves in that area to make you feel the sensation of the cream on your skin so you don't really feel what else is going on. If it's hot and swollen, a cold compress or ice is your best option. A paste of baking soda and cool water may help as well.

I don't think it's hot, but it is swollen... it'll be 48 hours since the shot at 3am.... and the pain just keeps getting worse.

Probably wouldn't help for that. I would try tylenol and icing it, keeping it elevated. Hope you feel better soon!

I don't think tylenol will work for it... since it's swollen muscle pain... but geeze! She said this would be nothing and my husband had one and he said it wasn't bad... i'm glad this helps protect my little man... but wow so painful!!

No, you need to soak in an epsom salt bath. Good luck.
