Toddler teething canines

18 month old DS has been a monster and a terrorist for the last week. He is cranky and clingy and throwing massive fits over everything. He doesnt want to eat half the time, and nothing except me holding him 24/7 makes him happy. I'm his canines are coming in, but this is the worst I have ever seen him act over teeth. Seriouly I am ready to rip all my hair out. I know it isnt his fault, and I keep telling myself to be patient, but it is very frusterating. On top of all that he gets his 18 month shots tomorrow. My question is how long did it take for your LO to fully get their eye teeth in? Did they act out more when they were getting their eye teeth? Also any tips on helping him with the pain? I hate seeing him like this  

we had to use oral jel once for my youngest when she got some of her teeth in I think it was her 2year teeth. other then that we had cold teethers in the frig and wash cloths run under cold water..plastic but safe toys for them to chew on also..keep in mind that neither one really got that cranky and they both started teething at 3.5m and 4m.

Dude! Those were the WORST for all of my kids. I don't remember how long it took. I did a lot of teething tablets and gripe water. Those were my miracle combo to keep them some what comfy. At night so they could sleep if they were clearly having a rough time, I would give them some tylenol.

Well hopefully they come in quick. I am going to the store tomorrow morning to get him some teething tablets, and motrin becuase his gums are pretty swollen. He wont let me put anything cold on them either. He wont even eat cold food at this point. Wish us luck lol.

My 20 month old has all four canines coming in and she's miserable. I don't know how long it is going to go on for but it's been a few weeks..l I'm glad to hear we are not alone, and here I was thinking molars were bad!

I thought so too, but nothing has came close to this. I have never seen him act this way. From what I hear alot of babies have a hard time with the eye teeth. I just hope it goes by quickly.
