I don't think so.

I just block anyone I don't want to be friends with so I don't have to deal with anything.

I always decline people, and they don't message me so apparently they are just looking for more friends on facebook.

I'm always stuck in this boat IRL I run in to people I've been in school with since like first grade but never were friends or talked to them, and now I see them out and they try to have a convo with me. It's like really? the polite thing to do is just not talk to me lol.

But I know what you mean about it being so overly serious for some people. My MIL is one of them. She had a huge virus on her page yesterday and I reported her account and deleted her. So I called her and let her know what was up. So she goes in a changes her account password and then says it was sent to 40 other people me being one of them and I was the only one who deleted her. I'm like I run a business off of facebook, and I need my computer to run that business also. The virus she had completely wiped out her computer including her anti-virus! I don't need that smurf!

See I really only signed up to get a page for my business and didn't feel that running my legit business under a "fake" name would be ethical. My dad's side of the family found out and started adding me which is fine and I wanted to add my one friend, but then that turns into this person and that person and I mean really... where is the privacy? I don't want to be someone's Who You May Know, if you KWIM?
